This dish is easy to make. A perfect start dish for green hand to learn Chinese kitchen.
Ingredients For 2 Portions
Chicken (breast/ legs) 300g
Shiitake mushroom x4
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Sliced ginger 5 slices
Spring onion x1.
Salt 1 tbsp.
Sugar 1 tsp.
White pepper 1 tsp. (Not Must-have)
Oyster sauce 1 tsp. (Not Must-have)
Chinese cooking wine 2 tbsp. (Not Must-have, can be replaced with white wine)
Directions
- Chicken soaked in water to remove blood, wash, cut into pieces, put salt cooking wine soy sauce oyster sauce pepper onion and ginger marinated for a while.
- Remove the roots and cut thick slices shiitake mushroom.
- Put oil in a pot and stir-fry peppercorns, then add the chicken and stir-fry for a while, add the mushrooms and stir-fry, then put boiling water over the ingredients.
- Put boiling water over the ingredients and cover low heat stew for about 15 minutes.
- Turn on high heat and to make the sauce thick. Remove the pot from fire when there is only a little of sauce.
